Don’t miss Ibiza in October

I wanted to dedicate a post exclusively to this month because for me it’s definitely one of the best months to holiday in Ibiza, and to live and discover the island in all its glory.

First, because the macro clubs aren’t open anymore and all the party tourists have gone back to their country. The island remains ready for those who truly come to enjoy her, the nature, history, beaches, gastronomy and nooks.

calagracioneta_intercorp_ibizaThe temperature in October in Ibiza is perfect, because it’s not so hot.. During the day it’s a great climate to go to the beaches and coves, and at night it’s enough to add a light jacket.

Besides, the water is still warm after the hot summer, so during this month even if it’s not so hot it’s lovely to go for a swim.
Something else to take into account is the price, it’s the start of the off-season and there is a a very noticeable difference. Not only in housing and transport but also in some restaurants and stores.

And make no mistake, in October due to work and school issues, not everybody can travel. So if you have the opportunity, take it.

septiembre_aguasblancas_intercorpThe number of tourists significantly decreases and you can go to spend the day at one of the most popular beaches without worrying about where to park the car or where to put the towel.

Not only that, in Ibiza in October you can have moments of complete peace and connection with nature. A beach without vendors nor beach bar, a sunset in complete silence, a sunrise on a deserted beach … Sounds good, right?

Well I’m leaving the best for last…

Some people don’t know but Ibiza is a place of pilgrimage, not only for the shirtless party-goers and footballers but also for such an elegant and majestic bird as the flamingo.

During October hundreds of specimens reach the island, looking for the good temperatures and the quiet and many of them decide to stay here to spend the winter.

spanien_ibiza_flamingosThe Natural Park of Ses Salines is the ideal place for these birds to rest from their long journeys before leaving again on February, after the winter.

Being the flamingo such a special animal having the chance to see hundreds of them in the magical setting of Salinas is a truly extraordinary experience.

With the sunset, the pink Salinas turn purple, orange, violet and red. Watching the flamingos resting or flying over the area with their sleek movements is something that will make your holidays in Ibiza unforgettable.

So now you know, do as the flamingos, come to Ibiza in October.
