Key points for choosing a perfect holiday

10410618_833613893342386_9057532499480131138_nAll year dreaming of a good holiday, a time to unwind, to pamper yourself, enjoy life, nature and all that it offers us, a time to recharge and feel free, something that makes all of us  feel great … Then, suddenly, the time for the big decision of where to go comes upon you and you start thinking of different options, all of them attractive.

I stop to think all the things I have to consider to ensure that my decision is the right one, since I want them to be the perfect holidays:

The first thing I do is take a calendar and see which dates I have available to travel and just how many days can I get away. The time I have to enjoy my holidays helps me decide the place where I want to spend them and the distance that I want to travel.

The second thing I do is think about what kind of holidays I want . This changes  depending on who I want to spend them with, family, couple, friends or alone… and depending on my fellow companions the type of holidays may or may not change, since they might be aimed at relaxing, practising  water sports, winter sports, snorkelling, discovering different cuisines, culture, and more.

What complicates the final decision are the endless possibilities offered in March or April, either to say goodbye to the snow season in the French Alps or to welcome the warm weather and spring on the beach or countryside.

And thirdly, once I’ve decided who to spend my holidays with, the time I have time to enjoy them, and the type of holidays I want to enjoy, is deciding the perfect destination.10968511_822510987786010_9067295236149964049_n

The most difficult decision is the destination. I don’t know what to do, I struggle between bidding farewell to the ski season in the French Alps, somewhere near the Mont Blanc, where there will surely be snow and a glorious sunshine, to sit on the terraces of the restaurants high up and come down skiing upon sunset with those wonderful views. Another option is to welcome spring on the White Island, strolling on the beach, in the countryside, through the flea markets, visiting the different viewpoints and restaurants of the island and relaxing with a book and a glass of wine in the evenings or enjoying the sunset. And my other option is to visit the Island of Eternal Spring, Tenerife, feeling It is already summer, practising water sports, visiting the Teide and the volcanic landscapes or the tropical nature. Which destination would you choose?
