Covid-19 safety measures and health regulations

General Information

At Intercorp Hospitality Group, the safety of our guests and staff members has, and always will be, our utmost priority. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been more careful than ever to protect the health and wellbeing of our customers and employees. To make sure you can enjoy your stay at our properties with confidence, we have implemented all necessary safety measures in accordance with local government requirements, and more. All of our apartments boast large private spaces, such as terraces, balconies and garden areas depending on the property. At Camelina Suites in Ibiza and El Marqués Palace in Tenerife, guests additionally enjoy direct access from the outside, making it easy to avoid internal common areas and to keep a safe distance from other guests. This is an advantage that a conventional hotel room cannot offer and considerably minimises the risk of catching the virus.

Moreover, we have added a range of additional hygiene and health regulations to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Our Covid-19 health and safety measures ensure that you can enjoy a safe and relaxing vacation in Ibiza and Tenerife, and enjoy your holiday without a worry.

Health & Safety measures

At Intercorp Hotel Group, we are consistently ensuring that all of our aparthotels are prepared in adherence with the latest government guidelines and ready to adapt to regulation changes at a moment’s notice. With meticulous care, we have put all necessary Covid-19 health and safety measures into place so that all of our guests, whether they are travelling for business or leisure, can enjoy a safe stay in our resorts in Ibiza and Tenerife. Going beyond mere compliance with the health and safety instructions issued by national and local authorities in Spain, our cleaning and disinfection processes have been updated to achieve the highest level of risk prevention. Furthermore, we have established new health and safety protocols for our employees, clients and collaborators according to the current rules and restrictions in each location, including:

  • providing first intervention equipment
  • limiting capacity
  • introducing new protocols for the most thorough disinfection of apartments and communal areas in all of our properties
  • implementing materials that are known to minimise the survival of the virus on surfaces
  • analysing different disinfection methods to find the highest level of protection against the virus

What are the current health regulations for individuals?

To prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, the Spanish government and local authorities ask individuals to:

  • Keep a distance of 1.5m between yourself, staff and other hotel guests outside of your group
  • Wear a mask that covers both your nose and mouth while passing through communal areas within our properties, both inside and outside except for the pool areas
  • Wash your hands regularly and use the disinfectant gel provided in your apartment and public areas
  • Smoking is prohibited in all communal areas with the exception of outdoor terraces

What are the symptoms of Covid-19?

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, a dry cough and tiredness. Other less frequently occurring symptoms include headaches, muscle aches, a sore throat, loss of taste and / or smell, diarrhoea, skin rashes or fingers and toes changing colour.

What should I do if I have Covid-19 symptoms?

Stay in your room and avoid any contact with other guests and members of staff in the resort. Phone the venue manager to notify them of the situation. They will arrange for medical staff to assess your condition over the phone. Always follow the health personnel’s instructions. If you are suspected of having Covid-19, a medical unit will be sent to transfer you to a medical centre or to carry out a PCR test.

What happens if my PCR test is positive?

If your test is positive, you will be taken to a medical centre or accommodation set aside for the purpose of quarantining. Health authorities will start tracking and tracing your closest contacts to control further spreading of the virus. All close contacts identified will have to start quarantine and follow the health authorities’ instructions.

Covid-19 cancellation policy

If you have booked through our reservations department by phone or email, please contact reservation@intercorpgrp.com to modify or cancel your booking. If you have booked through a third party, please discuss the terms and conditions of your reservation with your agency or tour operator.
